What’s Code42?

And why has it suddenly shown up on my macbook pro?

Yup, used to be backup program, now it's monitoring your file use.

Its your laptop backup program. You should have had it all along in case of failure.

It’s not new it’s always been there for me (at least with a Meraki build). You probably just noticed it for the first time in high alert mode. Has nothing to do with this stuff at least for us.

If it’s new for you it’s because they are worried about data leakage — but don’t worry they won’t have just pushed it out to the people who are fired they would have pushed it out to everyone.

To;dr Don’t read to much into it; it’s just standard security stuff

I’m the @pge+1u40HRIp comment… don’t downvote my typos.🤪 Drinking away the afternoon and updating my resume before he-l breaks loose again tomorrow.

Not everyone is in a technical role to automatically know what there things are. The concerning thing thing is that everyone should at least know the first line of troubleshooting is always google.

Cisco has already lost the leadership in the market and technologies, these IT protection tools just waste money waste time and frustrating employees.

I thought it was just a standard crash plan for secure backup. Good ole Google says it also offers data protection solutions to help businesses identify and prevent insider threats and data loss.

I’ll have to check to see if it’s on mine and install date. I think the install date is relevant so if you could check and share here, we can compare.
