Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The fact that we are now, what, 6 months past the time we should have seen the survey results...s

tells you one very important thing besides the obvious: they've probably been lying to us all along on previous survey results. Why do I say that? It was so obvious what the results were going to be on this recent survey that there was no way they could fudge the numbers and make it believable - so, they simply said fu-k it, we aren't going to publish them. While we've been subjected to continuous layoffs each year due to pi-s-poor management of this company's treasure, there hasn't been the mass disillusionment as there is now. So, they could skewer numbers and tweak things to their betterment, and it wouldn't be as evident. They've been lying this whole time.

Does anyone actually believe 90% of the respondents would actually recommend AT&T as a good place to work?

why do you care so much? You don’t need a survey to judge culture.

For those of us (former) Old Timers, this isn't the first Employee Survey to have it's results scuttled -- I remember more than a few in the early 2000's that never saw the light of day. Yeah, committees were formed to work on improving the results, emails were sent, then ... poof, they were never mentioned again.

Nice to see that the tradition lives on!

Stop with the survey nonsense. If you are a white male over 60 you’re hosed. Pretty simple. If you are a white female over 40 and considered a plain Jane you’re hosed. Pretty simple. If you don’t live in Dallas you are hosed. If you don’t have work friends and colleagues who respect you and recommend you for jobs you’re hosed. If you don’t have a network you’re hosed if you and your manager pretend to like each other and don’t you’re hosed. If you have stagnated in the same menial job in the same department for years languishing and anguishing that you do the same meaningless paper shuffle and pencil pushing that countless others can do you’re hosed. If you work for a white make or woman you’re hosed. If you don’t have a real technical skill you’re hosed. If you don’t have a technical degree you’re hosed. If you have useless fake certificates that no one cares about you’re hosed. If you don’t get invited to strategy discussions you’re hosed. If you aren’t told you have potential you are hosed. Everyone who is hosed now’s it. Most are running scared because they are dufusses who didn’t plan for there golden years and now beg for scraps. Or hoses in this case.

“ It was not for us…”

I feel like this is the same person always posting this.

It’s not the point.

The point is Stank himself strong armed all management into completing it, clearly stating the result were going to be shared.

So keep asking where the results are. It’s driving them nuts.

"Again with the survey... "

Maybe C-Suite should not keep telling us how far behind we are in obtaining the "cultural" goals they are forcing upon us, without providing any objective data. The survey is the closest thing to real data they have and they are afraid to share it. They are ({})'s.

"Keep in mind this was a 3rd party survey that T did not create."

ATT may not have "created" the survey but they sure as he-l approved the survey before it was distributed. So, the fact that they did not write the questions means nothing.

And how many months since the Stank gave his "I don't like older workers" speech that they also never released?

It was the not the same type of survey, nor was it done by the same company.

It was not for us, and you can kind of tell that by the questions that it asked.

It was done by McKinney, They advise companies on how to streamline everything, save money and cut people.

“ They are probably vexed on how to spin the results“

100%. Keep in mind this was a 3rd party survey that T did not create. Not as easy for them to spin. There were also several essay type questions, answers for which don’t lend themselves to spin. And everyone I know eviscerated leadership on those.
