It's ironic that Intel the company who created mobile computing is surprised that workers are using their own technology to work mobile.

I was just offered via txt to WFH and make up to $900 a DAY. That's way better than Intel that always wants to lay me off.

They want to sell real estate . So by what logic would they mandate return to office? I would rather guess the opposite.

If he ends WFH many people will leave on their own.
I get ads for WFH jobs making $200k to $300k every week.

My niece works for a dr-g testing company, makes $200k per year, and has never been to the companies offices, don't need to.
Get with it, times have changes, we are not going back to expensive office buildings.

WFH is becoming the norm. Companies can save billions if they get rid of their buildings.
My daughter is a VP and works for a company that has no offices anywhere.
Sure, manufacturing needs a factory, but most businesses don't need a factory: lawyers, insurance, marketing, web design, architecture, various engineering functions, po--o, etc.....

Pat doesn't want to lay off anyone, it makes him feel bad. Did you not see the webcast?
Closing sites is what they want to do. And end WFH subsidies.

If you want to WFH, that will be OK with management, but you will be expected to foot the bill.

Even if OP is lying, the writing is on the wall. Pat mentioned during last week's CEO corner that many sites are operating at <50% capacity. It's either RTO, or close those sites entirely and lay off the entire office.

When faced with that choice, I think most will choose RTO.

Can the person who messed up raptor lake just not work here anymore? A designer who sabotaged the company? Can they go and sc--w AMD or Nvidia for awhile? Thanks. Oh and can you guys make sure we aren’t spending billions on TSMC parts with the same design flaw?

There won’t be any building consolidation if everyone has to work in the office
