Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

They managed to distract us by PTO

Amazing how we all are talking about PTOs rather than the impact of layoffs. ELT has managed to distract us all

It seems it's better to be a investor on Cisco stock (with unlimited PTO, layoffs every quarter/semi annual), than working for Cisco

Seriously, the sense of entitlement that you people have is absurd.

New PTO policy was put in place so Cisco can buy back more shares to then give back RSU's to Chuck and ELT

PTO and layoffs and comp are the exact same discussion.

the july shutdown was to burn down PTO so they can afford more layoffs.

the layoffs and stiffing our bonuses are so they can afford the one time payout and transition to “unlimited PTO”.

plus they know for a fact that morale was already in the sh----r, and both of these moves will lead to more voluntary exits with no package.

the “unlimited PTO” is so they can afford more layoffs.

ELT is doing all of these things for the same reason: can’t get long-term share price growth.

chopping heads is the closest chuck can get to actually improving our stock, you can see plain as day on the price chart he fundamentally hasn’t been able to do that for years.

so expect to see much more of this in the years to come. he knows he won’t innovate our way out of this, he knows he won’t sell our way out of this. he’s going to cut until either the board wises up or his retirement fund is filled.

You are not entitled to your job @Cisco. All the crying is really annoying.
