More like “the shareholder (and Wall Street generally) is at the center of everything you we do”. They (and all other suit wearers in other companies) don’t give a toss about the customer, it’s all about the stock price. Sometimes I think about a magical fictional company with a CEO who says sc--w the shareholder and the board, we want the stock price at a level that keeps us alive but beyond that I’m not going to bend over to Wall Street. I’m going to build a happy healthy work environment and hire the best people and just see what happens. I’m just a slightly drunk nobody at an airport probably going to get laid off but I’ve had it man. This is so infuriating
