I've stayed here much longer than I should have because I'm paid well enough that my family can live comfortably, but I think I'm done. My mental health has been deteriorating rapidly as the situation became worse and worse (Wells Fargo was always a toxic workplace, but never to this level) and I don't want to see it deteriorate further. I got an offer for a job that pays 20 percent less in a much smaller company and I decided to take it. Money is not everything.

OP, that clapping and laughter you hear is coming from Charlie. His schemes are working like a charm. He played you like a fiddle.
It's not that kind of stress. OP probably wasn't a Chase flunkie, so things are...different.
Mental health is 10000% a reason to leave. Money is not everything. You will make less but will also pay less in taxes. ✅
Hypothetically, not sure I could give up $30-40k due to a little stress. Usually the more you make the more stress anyway.
Congratulations to you. I’m at that same point. Every day is worse, and I would gladly take a lower paying position just to get out of here.
Which division of Wells Fargo were you in? How much were you paid?
