Has anyone had success negotiating a severance package with Cisco, for example, getting them to accelerate all your RSUs or more severance.
I know some Splunkers affected and wondering if they should try.

H1B employees.. What if you get a job during the warn notice and will they still give the severance and give an early end date?
For negotiating you need some leverage. What’s your leverage going to be ? I need more money / this is so unfair is not leverage.
Nope. It’s a take it or leave it in the US. Can’t sue as part of the terms. Only thing worth trying to finagle is the severance repayment clause. If you return to Cisco in a new role before 6 months after your end date (again US only) you have to repay a prorated monthly amount back. Seen it happen twice and both times the returning employee was happy to write that check. Otherwise, don’t spend it all up front.
DONT HAVE SHEEP METALITY, IF YOU DO THEY WILL TREAT YOU SO
That’s a bold strategy Cotton
Cisco lawyers are paid well and have had lots of practice. Probably not worth the effort.
That is exactly why you have to try!
Because their lawyers are expensive you stand a big chance to negotiate if what you are negotiating is indisputable and is less that what they would pay their lawyers to go in court if you sue them.
There was a post around here like a month or so ago with a link to the public records of a court in California with lots of lawsuits against Cisco so no it is not unheard of

Re: PTO is paid out with the package.
I know one person who successfully negotiated their package down to 0 weeks severance. They even were able to get their separation date moved up. No telling what you can do when you put your mind to it!
Only person who succeeded that I know of had a serious illness and negotiated to remain on payroll for the severance period. covered their healthcare vs cobra. very rare indeed

Nothing to negotiate here unless you have proof of a discriminatory practice which is highly unlikely. take the package and move on with your life. you will be ok
At best, people have been able to negotiate their blackout period and come back to Cisco early, but why would you want to come back?
Cisco gives you RSUs because it costs them nothing to keep you around for a yr before the first yr's worth of shares vest. Why would they accelerate them all vesting? We're lucky that they accelerate the shares that would vest during your severance period forward to your termination date.
If you’re SVP and above, these is always a bit of leeway. Otherwise, the message is loud and clear - take it or leave it.
If you have unpaid time off you can ask them to pay it. Especially if there is no evidence that you took time off to compensate that
Every person I've seen do it has had no luck. You get what you get and don't throw a fit.
nope, very unlikely
