Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

What's the severance for years of service? Cisco and Splunk?

I'm reading for Splunk it's 6 months: 2 months to find a job and 4 months severance with RSUs covered until.. November?

But I'm also interested in additional severance based on service to the company. 1 year = 1 week extra or two weeks extra?

I've been at Splunk for 4 years -- and want to be prepared when I get laid off. Thanks!

Can you confirm if this is the same for Cisco and Splunk?

OP, sounds like your describing the Cisco package.
If you watch the replay of Monday's Cisco Beat, they listed the severance benefits.

In 2018 it was one week for every year of service up to ten years, and then two weeks for each year after that.

I don't recall that Cisco ever offered additional weeks of severance for years of service less than 10, but I could be wrong. I thought it was:

  • nothing for years 1-10
  • 1 week for years 11-19
  • 2 weeks for years 20+

I've always wondered why it's not years 1-9, 10-19, and 20+ so that it's in 10 yr increments.

February was none unless you were 10 years or more

In previous LRs the years of service “add on” didn’t kick in till the 10 years of continuous service mark. I would expect the same this round.
