This board is where I first heard that the 2016 strike was settled.
Come on, I have seen, what was considered a rumor of a post, come to fruition with in a few weeks, VSP rumor started a month or so prior to the email we received. The recent rumors are craft surplus and major RIF in the fall.
Yes, there are a few fake posts however they are blatantly fake, easy to dismiss.
I think you might be focusing on the wrong aspects of things written here. If you turn off all the noise and use it as a gauge rather than a source of ultimate truth, you might find this forum quite useful.
For instance, based on nearly 2 decades of working here, I’d estimate that the distribution of happy, neutral, and unhappy workers is roughly one-third each. I’d say the engagement on posts here suggests that this forum is a fair representation of the situation on the ground.
That said, and given that’s an anon board, of course there’ll always be some whining and exaggeration.
But when you see 10k views on a thread that’s only a few hours old, you can bet your a-s that something significant is happening.
On a another note, and this is where I find this place particularly useful, it’s rather good for getting a quick answer to any work-related question - numerous people ready to help within minutes.

Don't, blame the Union less than 25% of the work force is Union. The fact is if your working from home, they can do it in India for a fraction of what they are paying you.
Union trolls and their masters have ruined this site like they ruin everything else.
I suspect a good amount of fake news, but this site also predicted three major items recently, the vsp, blue jeans sale and hcl rebadge/outsource.

Whoever posted about an upcoming VSP got me to hold off quitting a few weeks. I didn’t believe it at all but figured I’d give it a go and then it was real!
Most other posts are trolling/fake. Most votes are fake and usually done by one person if it is much more than a few votes.

It's terrible, this site could be such a huge value if it wasn't treated like toilet paper and a joke by so many. In my opinion Union garbage with nothing better to do ruin this site and imply HR people are the ones to blame...I've shared nothing but truth, inside info, and helped others with valid answers...half the rest do nothing but waste time for all those looking to help.
