T’s final offer to D3

What was different ? Seems to me D3 ended up with the same exact “final offer “ that T made weeks before. Seems the strike was for nothing.

A wire tech walking the picket line for 4 weeks lost over $4500 in basic wages (not to mention overtime). Gonna take a LONG time to make that back up with a mere $1700 per year raise. Oh yeah-- but they did get union pay of a couple hundred bucks for the last two weeks. Oh yeah and an extra day off for MLK --- How intelligent.

"Is mgmt going to get MLK day too?"

Isn't MLK Day the one that became a mandatory holiday when they took away some vacation days from management a couple years ago?

Then T drops a piano on your head with a mortal blow in years 4-5.

You're insane. In 2029, individual care will only be $15 more a month (than 2024) for option 1, and $20 more/mo for option 2. Family care will only go up $42/mo (from 2024) for option 1 and $56/mo for option 2. Sure, there is some variation when it goes down a few bucks in Y2-Y3, but even then it's not huge or unmanageable.

And that's the increase over today's rates! Deductibles are still less than half of the levels for the high deductible plan. The prescription copays are lower than the high deductible plan currently has, too. All those numbers are peanuts compared to what the actual cost increases are likely going to be in 5 years.

Or are you that person who (erroneously) thinks that they will be raising the premiums each and every month over the last 2 years of the contract?

“The healthcare is HUGE! With either steady or slightly lower premiums for a great portion of the contract, that is more money in our pockets.”

Take advantage of the vision coverage. You are obviously in dire need of some strong bifocals. Do you even have vision coverage except for annual checkups?

Way to go phishing for details. We won, they won, good contract. The end!

There's nothing to fish for, it's publicly available here:

“It was way different than the final offer , company came in line pretty much with what cwa was asking for.”

Yeah ok. For year 1-3. Then T drops a piano on your head with a mortal blow in years 4-5.
By that time it’s all over and the creek won’t rise no more.

I think the 'final offer' had a slightly lower compounded wage increase, didn't include the immediate bump for some job titles, and was for the much higher healthcare (high deductible plan).

The TA's centerpiece is the healthcare. Instead of the HDP the premiums will stay the same 2025, lower in 2026, and 2027, and small increases in 2028 and 2029--still below what the final offer premiums would have been.

The healthcare is HUGE! With either steady or slightly lower premiums for a great portion of he contract, that is more money in our pockets.

The company learned they’re still not ready to replace the union workforce.

As our Local president in Charlotte used to say "Vote yes for the contract, it's the best we can do"

Wonder what happened to the huge fantasy contractor force? All I saw was a few doing pole transfers and they did those wrong, 😆 job security!
