I’m sorry for veterans who have to learn this hard way, after investing years and decades here. Some of the younger generations came into a profound shift of how the workforce is perceived and treated, and know better than to stay in one company for longer than a couple of years. Gigs are just a line on the resume in the same manner employees are just a budget item. There are no careers anymore. In that respect, WF is worth it for two years max. If you have something better lined up, don’t even bother coming to WF.

I'm not complaining but I wish I knew what my job is.
Doesn't matter if you're "better at your job" or not. The company is a dead end. People with years and years of experience are being forced out. When it is all said and done, and there is no one left that understands the mishmash of systems that this company uses, the stock will tank. It's a tragic ending, to be sure.
Until the tech and finance job markets improve, I’m staying put with my severance safety net. It’s too risky right now to jump to another company when they might suddenly change course and lay me off.
