Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Embarrassing.

Each Monday, a National Sales call is conducted for WIM/WFA. This past Monday, the head of National Sales participated from what seemed to be his car parked in a garage, using a smartphone positioned at his seat level pointed up to capture his chin along with his wired headphones. This situation was both unprofessional and embarrassing.
He typically begins each call by expressing how "super" excited he is. However, one might consider that this particular call was "super" unprofessional.
We are experiencing a loss of operations, support staff, client associates, and more due to necessary cost-cutting measures, while the head of National Sales continues to receive a ridiculous salary plus a substantial bonus. This individual oversees teams that are compensated significantly more than those who have been let go, all aimed at assisting advisors with sales. Yet, the best they can manage is a call conducted from a vehicle. It is difficult to see how this approach benefits the bottom line. In fact, I am "super" convinced that this is merely a facade, and WIM will need to reassess its leadership and decisions.
There are more personnel dedicated to "sales" than there are support staff within the Markets, which is indeed "super" foolish.

lol at all the fake upvotes on this post. As if it wasn't apparent that OP is a little...off from the post itself.

OP said the car was parked in a garage. If it wasn’t parked and he was driving even worse.

And yes this is BK. Have it your way… you rule! -Burger King

By the way The Hamburglar also posts here when he hangs out with

I don’t think it’s quite as bad as many people here make it out to be, but they rotate hosts of this call often, so they should have just asked someone who was not in the road to host the call this week. Poor planning.

If this is BK, then you would know that he actively recruits and is also an acting manager for a market in the Northeast. So, yes, he's on the road a bit. Especially at 9 in the morning.

It's really surprising to see so many people claiming the OP is in the wrong. Conducting a National Sales call from a parked car on a cell phone actually demonstrates a lack of dedication. And seriously, what kind of multitasking could he possibly be doing in a parked car? Changing his oil?

Actually, reverse that. The OP is in the menial role.

I'm not the OP but wow at the replies.

The mental image I'm left with are people that have menial jobs at Wells, supplemented by driving gig jobs after work. They don't understand why the head of Wealth looks unprofessional sitting in his car to lead a meeting.

I guess that's why the other posters have the jobs that they have 😬

OP is the same crank who posts a thread like this every few months when he is threatened by a "new" word people under 50 are using.

I have always been on a team conference call where the management or team lead is either in office or in a room in their house working remote that day. Never ever have he or she been seen sitting in their car conducting a business team call. Truly unprofessional.

You are a true goof ball if you didn't think people take conference calls in the car for decades. People are busy and this is multitasking. If it wasn't for Teams or Zoom you wouldn't have known any better.
