@2ytf+1uCVmgbE - Absolutely on point. I have seen this at several other companies too. Agile is not an accurate name for the process, it is the least agile approach I have ever seen and only serves to justify the hiring of made-up roles with no real skills or contributions.

@2ytf+1uCVmgbE Yes, ceremonial positions like RTE, Scrum Masters. All they care about is the status of the team, the shape of the graph (LOL).
Then not sure what's the difference between Principal and Senior Engineers (perhaps one of them is redundant?). The Scrum model is causing burnout amongst developers and PO/FL. Apart from the daily scrums, SM wants separate call with PO, so SM will have something to say during Scrum of Scrums. It's ridiculous.

Technology spent so much money on AGILE. Hired coaches, then created positions that are ceremonial, created more work for the real heavy lifters. It really burdened the dev teams and made them less agile. It is ironic.
