Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

We don’t have to discuss the effectiveness of RTO and reasoning behind it

It’s just an attrition tactic. Nothing more, nothing less. Any other reason, if it exists, has not been decisive. It’s all about getting rid of as many of us as possible without paying for it. As simple as that.

When they did RTO, people at my location with disabilities were given accommodations to allow them to continue full time WFH. Other people looked into accommodations and went for psych accommodations. People were going to appointments with a local doctor and within a few months, they received accommodations to wfh full time. I'm worried that these employees are painting a bad picture for the Roanoke location and eventually our jobs will either moved to another location or outsourced.

40% is just an initial goal. It won't stop there.

40% reduction of the US workforce is their goal.

@ann+1uCnVxEk bless your heart you can't even understand a simple message. Here's to hoping you're a troll and not an actual employee. RTO is exactly what OP said, a tactic to reduce headcount through voluntary attrition from employees who are he11 bent against a full (or any) RTO. You are referring to Location Strategy, yet another way to reduce headcount that they are paying out for. Far less numbers of them than those who are actually being impacted by RTO.

I've been working fewer hours ever since RTO. All that time to get ready got work, commute, taking about irrelevant things like the weather, getting distracted, adjusting cr-p office tech etc. is time I used to invest in actual production. Now it's completely wasted. It's also a huge waste of company resources. Buildings are hideously expensive and in my space produce negative value.

I know you're emotionally attached to the buggy whips, but you really need to accept change better. For most admin roles, WFH is vastly superior and less expensive FOR THE COMPANY.

Bless your heart @op. You tried to troll but airballed it. “….. without paying for …….” That’s literally all Wells has been doing, paying people to leave. The only caveat is it’s not a choice.

You and your childish buddies are all angry because Wells is forcing on us what 95% of the world already has to do, go to actual work.

Truth. The executives of America are he-l bent on getting rid of American workers as soon as possible and as cheaply as possible. RTO is all part of the plan. FHY.
