Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The worse enemy of it all in Retail today! Gives no explanations to service reps to tell customers other than sayn they are denied! We the sales reps takes to the cursing and more with no back up at all!

I wish they flagged the account at the beginning of the transactions. There’s times where I get all the way to processing the payment and then it gets flagged. Annoying.

When I used to work retail (not phones), when we did an instant credit/open account, if it was denied, they used to have us hand the phone to the customer and they would tell them why. and/or tell them that it would be considered a standard open and they would not be leaving with their purchases that day unless they paid a different way. Never fun, but it took us out of the hot seat a bit, and it didn't compromise the customer's privacy. (I mean, sort of, we knew they either had trash credit or another issue.)
