Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Senior leadership has been destroying our work force for several years

The premise of separating ongoing practices resulting in poor outcomes from actions of the C-Suite is faulted. Senior leadership has been destroying our work force for several years. They have never demonstrated through action any ongoing widespread effort to make it stronger. Ineffective leaders foster ineffective employees. Rightsizing is needed, but we also need the right leaders. Addressing only one side of that equation will not yield the results they are wanting. The right leadership would know this.

Couldn’t agree more, @yho+1uCDfAvO. Bumping it up for visibility.

My AVP is great, cuz he's NOT Stanky's crony, he really protects his team and we get tons of good work done! So far no one on his team got surplused. A few people left on their own will and he supported them.

“have the guts to go to your AVP or higher and speak it, then come back on here and let us know how your job search is going.”

Lol. Is an AVP supposed to scare us or something little guy?
You sound like a frothing bulldog that can’t handle his bourbon, pawing away at the opinion boards trying desperately to defend this despicable place. Great choice.

BTW, I’ve had a few choice words with my AVP and the big shot VP. (Maybe you know him, he’s like all the rest of them. Been here forever, over his head, his reports call him “Reactive Man” and his super powers are to do nothing and still be in charge).

You of course are one of those little Directors, or are you an associate Director. lol. (love that a.d. title. All the work for less pay and less everything else). Keep defending the company though little guy. You will make AVP one day if you keep up the great posts on here.

Getting rid of top talent based on arbitrary location was truly the Coup de grâce here.

It is what it is. Either do the job for which you are paid, or quit. But quit trying to preach to the choir.

OP, this is a great post, as we need to speak our minds and not let Stanky/cronies put us down; if T can’t get rid of Stanky, at least his cronies need to be gone to further erode employees’ careers/lives; I’ve been with T for 6 years fresh out of college, and unfortunately I had to witness this sad state of T, and how great talents have been and about to be destroyed.
