According to my sources, Oct 1 layoff will be huge across all LOB -
It will be the last major one until next year

The number will depend on the earnings (October 11). And earnings depends on NII (net interest income), which goes down when i goes down. So far they pumped the stock up on the "hope for end of asset cap" work (which probably happens every quarter). Execs are probably buying some protection now. Remember your job is a pawn in the board's hand.
I’m pretty certain I’ll be done Tuesday and so glad. Sure it would be great to get the 401k match, but this location strategy purgatory has taken such a mental toll I’m just glad they’re paying me to go away. No more jobs for me, just retiring.
CS says....Get them out before you have to pay the 401K match.
they submit warn notice on same day they give you your lay off notice which in most cases includes a 60 day non working clause where you technically still work for the bank. This is how they get around having to submit the notice before kicking you out.
once again, wrong. wf can only handle roughly 1000 per month or 500 per layoff Tuesday.
I hope so! I have plenty of colleagues Who are 'dying' for the package (okay, guys in my golf league). quite a few are in their 60's and want to be paid to go away. There were others that 'retired'/quit because they were tired of waiting.
I was like that too, ready and financially able to retire. But, they were still paying me every 2 weeks, and I figure 'you don't leave money on the table', so continued doing my job until wells figured they would be better off without me.
and, eventually, they did.
Cheers!
WARN notices usually are posted after the employees are notified from what I've seen, unless it's different state by state. I don't think checking WARN notices will give you any hint about layoffs that haven't been announced yet.
You can search the WARN site for your state and company. I believe large layoffs need to be posted by law.
Nope. OP is the same troll who lied about being laid off after 43 years too. Don't believe anything you read on here.
Thats what i hear as well.
Charlie stated close to 1B was allocated for severance for this year. Now we will see if this was just a verbal threat or something that would actually be carried out. Blessings to all during these times.
nah, troll
Last major one -
There will still be small layoffs throughout the year.
But next week will be huge
Says who this will be the last layoff for 2024?
