Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Agree or disagree?

Unless you “physically” have to touch a customer and/or product, you should be working from home…

Do you agree😱

@kwy - only looser, parasite, sociopath executives "need" office presence. Those of us who actually have something tangible to contribute can do that from where ever.

@qqn - "Leading", like what - the failing FAANG who are using RTO as a sly way to lay off too. Get a brain.

Yes agree everyone should especially my team. We are all scattered from East to West coast, we are all lone in our hub location. And I don’t want to collaborate with anyone in my office because I will end up catching Covid (again)!!

Remote working should be allowed but only after it is earned.

I love the babies crying about RTO. Beating a dead horse

Never have I ever been around as many self-entitled clueless humans as I have working at Wells Fargo. You’d think Work From Home was a line in the constitution or the 11th Christian Commandment the way folks around here speak. A mighty tiny hill to die on, enjoy the view from under my boot.

Disagree. Just as they are making sweeping RTO mandates for everyone, not everyone should be working from home. Should be more on a case by case basis. It's not a one size fits all both ways. There are quite a few roles, positions and people that shouldn't be working from home full time.

@qqn they can try to re-cork that bottle, but it's a losing battle that will make them look silly in the long run. The biggest motivators of RTO are tax incentives and CRE holdings.

Working with a team can often lead to a drop in productivity.

training the new folks becomes challenging when they're not physically in the office, where they can pick up on non-verbal cues and interact with colleagues.

Some tasks just can't be effectively done through Teams.

Look around - leading companies are now requiring employees to return to the office five days a week..
