Straight from an HR snitch. A ginormous layoff right before Thanksgiving.
The reasoning for that timing is to have the worse possible effect on morale. And thereby induce more voluntary resignations and save on precious severance costs.

What would you expect from a place where leaders have no empathy - layoffs don't take a holiday - and layoff at Thanksgiving isn't new, happened last year. I'm in CSSB and there were layoffs for expense efficiency the week after Thanksgiving last year. This year, the payday falls the Friday before Thanksgiving 11/22, so if they keep to schedule, it would be the Tuesday 11/26 before Thanksgiving on 11/28.

The FAKE news on here
I hope so!! Does HR get that much of a heads up from displacement? It seems so chaotic and not organized, but so ready for the layoffs, hope it's soon.
I know it - it’s so awesome!
