Except they’re not. Nice try HR. They are technical positions that were in ATS, moved to Dallas but do not have to be worked in Dallas by the new hire. If the new hire can work anywhere, why couldn’t the person that had the job also work anywhere? I am certain that you already know the answer. Remember, even the perception of bias is bias.
We’ve been through this 1,000 times. But again. There are national jobs, occupancy indicator starts with a N, these jobs are located in a hub. Then there are market jobs, occupancy indicator starts with a M. Market positions are located in local markets. Those postings are most likely market positions.

There are dozens and dozens of technical jobs for work from home or from a random city. They are not getting rid of minor hubs.

Only young people are allowed to work from home. Oldies must be in office. I have run into 2 coworkers recently that couldn’t send me a picture from their phone. Both make $100k both non union for whatever that’s worth.
