Clown show. Would have got 500 bucks signing bonus, if done back in April.
$500? What, are you 12? That's enough to take a deal on? You're the type of fool that ruins unions. I hate to think there's more easy-lays in in D9 but I'm probably wrong.

Retro pay is more than $500 especially for those of us who did a lot of OT. Ask your math tutor for more help.
We came out ahead rejecting the first TA.
If the membership rejects this one the next move is an economic strike for at least a month.

But, nooooo!
Sticks your heels in the mud, fight so one prem tech in some garage in NorCal can work 4/10s for six months and have it fail.
But we get 5% back pay that we would have got any way.
You win.
What are you willing to loose by going on strike after the no vote.
Oh well…
You seem to think the union can dictate layoffs or not. It doesn't. The company makes the decision and they will not accept any contracts stating otherwise. NO UNION has that power. Even UAW had to deal with layoffs after their new contract.
Article 2 has been kept intact dictating how layoffs are to be performed. The wage increase makes it costlier for the company to perform layoffs because it affects the severance package.
Absolutely true.
We kept article 2.
We kept the pension and lump sum.
We all got the highest pay increases ever.
Prem techs got an improvement to OT.
Healthcare is going up a little unless you have Kaiser. You all better budget for that.
Everyone knew layoffs were coming regardless of the outcome.
The good news is people who put in for VSB may get their wish.
If the company is going to announce layoffs after agreements are ratified then why vote Yes.

This isn't a Co-Op wherein the employees can vote on a layoff.
This OP hasn’t taken the time actually read it. Try it, you just might learn something about the actual details which are far from acceptable to educated members.
Condescension will get you nowhere. If you feel there is something of vital importance, then please share. But insulting your union brother for his opinion instead of shedding light on concerning aspects of the contract is at best, an a--hole move. A previous poster pointed out that job guarantees were apparently of utmost importance to him. However, I personally think it's not something we're going to get, and from a business standpoint, it's not going to be offered. Companies get sunk by such promises; they have all learned about overpromised pensions and guaranteeing jobs when the business doesn't support it anymore at a particular location or skill set.
So please, share your opinions, but save your self-righteous insults.

Wage increases dont matter without up-to-date language on job security. If the company is going to announce layoffs after agreements are ratified then why vote Yes. Vote No and have CWA work towards improvements in the contract and not BAU.
Aren’t most CORE centers in Dist 3 or Dist 6?
How would that affect Dist 9?
Still voting no.
Don't forget you get unemployment checks as well if you leave the company due to a surplus!
I see a surpolus coming to the core centers very soon!!!!
Nice. I've been waiting for that severance!
Good luck with that contract. The company is headed to all mobility contracts. This is proven by all the hiring is Premiere Service Consultant Hybrid. I see a surpolus coming to the core centers very soon!!!!
I'm voting yes.
It's a good contract. Highest wage increase we've ever had. It's status quo for core with some improvements for prem techs.
The company will never move Appendix E techs to Appendix A. They're actively trying to get rid of Appendix A techs via attrition and haven't backfilled many positions if the work is still getting done ie "acceptable outage rates"
My wife worked for Kaiser and wouldn't take the insurance.
Congratulation on your win. Sounds like it was worth it.
