Awkward Engineering Townhalls

These engineering townhalls are painful, awkward, and cringe:

Managing director going on a rant about not enough people joining the meeting in person
All managers "gently" asking people to come to the office for the next one
Passive aggressive gigs "Of Course" examples of wrong behavior. Folks, passive aggressiveness is not se-y.
Do we really need 10 mins about phishing? If we work in tech and don't know the basics of phishing we are in freaking trouble
Bits with internal jokes that only two people understand and come off as totally inappropriate (making the boss happy...ewww)
Nobody believes that T+1 was a "wonderful" journey...bi--h please! How can you say that with a straight face.
Multiple presenters talking like robots.

I need to get out of here!!!

@2ucc - one can understand if they are internal MDs but the ones who were recruited in the last few months/years ? It is an open forum brown-nosing

MDs have years of institutional experience, built the services used by millions of clients that associates rely on for knowledge. Most have been promoted internally by exceeding expectations and being respected by the organization. The MDs I know put in hours of unpaid 24x7 support and are being told to reduce costs by leadership that came in from external organizations over the past few years.

MDs only like to walk around the office from meeting room to meeting room while they hold on to their free starbucks, notebook and laptop to make themselves look like they’re doing work worth $200k+.. but in reality they just like to take long hours in the restroom after eating their 2 hour lunch break

Its cus MDs always want to look like they’re actually being productive— they just take up space and only look busy with pointless back to back “meetings” in their calendars
