Most people aren't qualified for their jobs. Here's how it goes, your manager gives you something new to do but you have never done it before so manager tells you to "figure it out". However if you were to apply for a job doing that same new thing and you had no experience they would reject your application.

@tmi You clearly misunderstood. The HR employee knew they were hiring candidates for a particular position using particular software. He applied “correctly.” His rejection uncovered when the HR TEAM loaded the requirements into the ATS, THEY put in the wrong, outdated software to be used in the new role. So, the AI was operating properly. His test resume was not “wrong.” 😑

I blame the applicant. If the job specifies angularjs and you don't have that on your resume your application should get rejected. There is a big difference between angularjs and angular. Different architectures (MVC versus Component based). If an angular applicant doesn't have angularjs on his resume he should get rejected. If I were the hiring manager I should know that many angular devs would not want to work on an angularjs project. It is like going back in time. Its like getting a web developer to work on a cobol program.

The applicant must match his resume with the job specifications. That is why I believe all applicants should be using AI themselves. You will be amazed at how easy it is to use AI to 'edit' your resume so it matches the job specs.
I highly doubt this © IBTimes article is true. They didn't state what company this occurred.
