Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Celonis, Anyone?

So, I get an email like I’d won a sweepstakes drawing. It claimed that my group peeked interest of upper management and they wanted to know more about what we did.

It went on to say that we were to be part of a pilot program, using Celonis Task Mining software. Basically, it tracks every single interaction with your machine, from what apps you use, to the content of any web pages you view, to every single time you roll your mouse wheel or click your mouse. From what I gather, it’s similar to XKeyscore (If you’re familiar with the program that the NSA used to spy on Americans, where they could basically replay your entire computer session as if they were standing over your shoulder).

After some light pushback to this, the initial explanation was, they wanted to see the workflows of software developers. The problem is, no one in my entire group is a software developer. After more pushback, we were basically told, it doesn’t matter if the reasoning doesn’t apply and we’re to just deal with it.

They made it out like it was this new software they were trying out. After some research, Wells rolled this out in 2019-2020, so they’ve been using this for a while.

Based on further research, I found that some of the LOB’s that were using Celonis early on had some pretty substantial layoffs.

My thought is, this is a tool being used to determine if you can be replaced with AI or your position off-shored.

Anyone else have any experience with Celonis?

Pretty impressive collection of articles on Celonis and "wells fargo" on the internet. Interesting to see that they are outsourcing their process transformation & intelligent automation. AI will follow.
Oz (17 year InfoSys veteran now WF exec) was at the "Celonis" event to share how the 171-year-old financial institution uses Celonis to deliver higher productivity, shorter cycle times and a better customer experience, while also ensuring data security and regulatory compliance.

@1ziq+1uJtfnnI Who has time to code? They need to role out GitLab for devs. GitLab is primarily focused on the development and delivery of software, while Celonis is designed to analyze and optimize business processes. They are complementary tools that can be used together to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of an organization.

Jokes on them. I’m a dev. They’ll only capture my activity in Service Now, DevOps, ART, IAMS, CMP, Jenkins, JIRA, and BlackDuck. Who has time to code?
