Two L2s in our team got hit
L3 here who was rehired less than 18 months ago now only to get su---r punched again with surplus notice after being outsourced previously…….stay away from this unethical company.

they have to demote them to level 2's first before they cut them. That way they get a smaller severance.
Varies by org. In our org, notices "mid October" .., off payroll by Nov 11th.
Some Ops teams are going to be off-sourced to HCL in November and December. That includes L3s.
Some were demoted, some were let go. Seems less than anticipated
I’ve heard from L2 peers across a couple of orgs that got letters last week. Haven’t heard anything about L3/L4, so not sure what’s going on. I agree the retirement announcements starting to trickle are probably L3/L4 layoffs.
Most of the people I know who got impacted on 9/26 have been L2s. I haven’t heard of any L3/L4 reductions yet.

Expect to start seeing some “retirement” email notifications.
Once all the Tentative Agreements are signed in D3 and D9 is when all management cuts on table with happen

Some have happened, others got delayed due to the strike and the storm damage. Still coming.

2025 will have many more layoffs then 2024 and 2023 combined.
