Rumor of changes to severance package in January - obviously it will be in their best interest, not ours, but anybody have any more details?

You don’t get severance for regular retirement so it won’t affect end of year decisions

This comes up every year. People like to spread fear and rumors ( look at politics today).

Tim order to get your severance, T makes you sign a letter that you will not sue them. So if they take that down to 30 days, a lot more people might decide to pursue a law suit than to take the few $$$ T throws at them.

Has been addressed at high levels, perhpas go to Townhalls. No, there is no plan to change Severance calculations at this time, nor has it even been brought up.

People say stuff on here to wind folks up or scare them.

Source: I pay attention.

If they really want people to leave- Announce the change then give an offer to go with the 6 months.

Evil Stankey will do anything to make you pay for his mistakes like DTV acquisition and current sell to TPG for pennies. Worst CEO and worst BOD that never did anything to stop this.

We will see if they share this information before the end of the year when many employees are making end of year retirement decisions.

Yes - just got out of an HR meeting. Upon receiving notice; you will be required to actually pay AT&T severance. It’s a sliding scale based on years, but those employed for over 10 years will have to repay their past 6 months salary.
