Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Can the damage done to Verizon by its current management be undone?

I don't see a way, personally.

Elon satellites...you clearly have no idea how the current networks operate in conjunction with society. Please continue your complaining about how awful Verizon is while you learn nothing beyond copper infra.

In 5 years, everyone will be on the new Apple and Android sat phones talking to Elon’s satellites and this whole arterial revenue bleed from 5G tower investments will be looked at as the cause of death of all the wireless carriers.

It has never recovered from the filth of Lowell. He was a downright terrible person, a worse "leader", and Verizon ended when he became CEO. He permanently damaged the company and it can't or will never return.

Clearly not. Since 2013, every year there’s a strategy for growth, every year the actual growth was disappointing, every year there were layoffs and out sourcing. For stocks, Just contrast VZ stock’s 10 yr performance against S&P 500 index’s.

You people are living in a dream world. 52 week high and you think we're doomed. Verizon is pursuing revenue streams in places you current and former copper punch down block experts could never understand. Go trace your two wires for miles and leave us to do what we're still around to do. My paycheck is great and I'm on my way to an amazing retirement.

Will AT &T show you how it's done?

"My guess is Verizon valuation will drop to a point where it’s acquired. "

Saying it for over a year now. VZ being positioned to be sold. Been there, seen that.

if this company gets rid of 35% of the managers ,supervisors that are WFH 100% just looking at emails and running their own errands. ,then maybe and get rid of the useless upper teir that does absolutly nothing like all those staff positions we have.. also the useless dept's
pulse,v-team central etc etc etc and focus at the business on hand . then we might have a chance, but i really dont see it.

We are building revenue 0/zero losers because we need the numbers. Like the previous respondent “it’s a race to the bottom.”

SCOTTY DELOACHY has eroded value segment in Miami, I am impressed he survived the latest round of layoffs, that just goes to tell how incompetent's a layer or two above him are. Until this changes and the "indian Preservation" continues. Verizon is not going anywhere.

A good start would be to RIF the OP, @tfr, @vkd, and @xpl.

There is no plan to build new revenue streams, it’s a race to the bottom (the wireless mobile industry are beating each other up on pricing), and Verizon does not have a plan. Eventually, EBITDA will be squeezed causing pressure on the dividend and stock price. My guess is Verizon valuation will drop to a point where it’s acquired.
