Until I see a minority sitting in Charlie Scharf’ seat, then DEI is an absolute joke for this company.

To y'all anti-DE&I folks, the only good hire is a straight white male hire.

Anti DEI movement has been in full swing for over a year now. Good! When hiring, just hire based upon merit please. If 80% of hired happen to be of similar race or religion or whatever, so be it. Just do it on merit please. FORCING to hire based upon some race or religion or whatever discriminates against those not getting hired.

Focus on qualifying for the job and know that discrimination is real. Use that as fuel to REALLY practice during your interviews and re-emphasize being qualified. This topic does more harm than good. It's not going away. Don't let this ruin your prospects elsewhere.

I think everyone with a brain gets what DEI is about, reverse discrimination. Its had its day in the sun and will evaporate as quickly as it arrived.

sigh

wells has always been diverse as far as the people they employed at the lower levels in technology.

When I started in 1993, there was a wide variety of people and cultures. And as far as I knew, we got along fine.

Cheers!

@blu+1uPG8f55 - exactly the maneuver of a bankrupt leadership. when you have no positive or compelling vision for the company for employees to rally around you have to resort to negative tactics like divide and conquer. DEI, RTO, I&P, etcetera etcetera.

Their real "vision" is to enrich themselves. Maybe they can get the CEO pay to median worker ratio to 1000X?

Predominant culture has officially reached the point where large swaths of people are openly vilifying the idea of not being racist while hiring people (or using private bedroom matters as a primary selection criteria).

What a time to be alive.

DEI was always a scam. The psychopaths in the c-suite could give a rat's ar-e about actual diversity, equity or inclusion. They only care about pumping their stock-based compensation. DEI useful tool to divide people in opposing camps and thereby make them easier to control. Just like RTO is a way of dividing people.

Once you've created the divide then it is easy to manipulate the opposing sides by shifting favor from one to the other based on whether or not they're doing what you want.
