Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

None of the reason I chose T still exist.

I just realized that all of the reasons why I chose to work here are gone.

I’d never look to work at a place like this if I was looking for a job now.

No innovation, a dying business model, no job security.

Thats all I ever wanted was job security and a place where we did meaningful work. It’s time to start looking elsewhere like Sambar.

I, too, miss what was but it’s been this way for at least a decade. You might’ve been lucky like me to have wound up in a business unit that cared but the hourglass has run out on those too.

I recommend it to friends and family with the caveat of layoffs. Make as much money as you can.

Stay debt free and be ready to walk out on in 30 seconds flat.

“I was agreeing with you until the last sentence. That made me throw up. I grew up in a Middle Class Family where people were proud of their yards.”

That was a joke.

I never chose T. They bought the company I was working for. Though it was good through the Big Ed days. After that it headed down hill.

And it won’t get any better.

Where have you been during the last decade to just now be realizing this?
