Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Don’t expect quality or qualified

WF no longer posts positions to find qualified, diverse talent. Now, they bring their friends in and put them in roles beyond what they are qualified for. Employees now reporting to these new managers are being asked to train them. And these friends are from JPMorgan. This is the downfall of what was a great bank.

It's pretty common. Read the room you're in. Banking is not for faint of heart. Lots of politics. I'm glad I was exposed to this sooner than later and shifted my perspective.

I don't care what company you work for, executives come in and bring their cronies with them.bhas always been the case across all industries.

"Now, they bring their friends in and put them in roles beyond what they are qualified for."

This has been standard practice since at least the 90s. Sure, they may have shied away from it some in the 201Xs, but it has never not been this way.

Only thing I don't agree with is the last sentence. This was never a great bank.
