Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Chances of layoffs prior to bonus

Hi. I’m being set up to fail after layoffs/team re-org back in March. I’m now working with 2 managers who will likely give me a terrible review and if even the 2 other managers I work with give me stellar reviews, I know how big companies work and even 1 negative review is enough to sink someone. I was trying to hold on to bonus day or layoff, but everyday is a battle now and I’m really wondering if I’m not better off quitting now while I can still leave them in a bind and cause them to think about how they treat people in Casey bonus is severely cut or I get put on a performance plan or laid off prior to bonus day. What are the chances that I may get laid off before bonus day?

This is accurate. If you are here after 10/1 you get calibrated. You are also eligible for bonus (it is completely up to your manager at the time if they want to sc--w you for others who they know will be on the team in the future). Your manager can write up a "false" review to give you less money, however you can fight it via a complaint to HR. At a minimum, even if they don't change the rating, you can make it difficult for your manager and make them justify things.

There will be layoffs all throughout Q4 except the week of Christmas.

"OP what is your age?"
Based on OP's run on sentence, I'd say 9th grade?

Bonus money will go to mgr for allocation since we are past 9/30. Whether mgr offers you some or saves most for those that stay is up to them. It can be immoral and legal. As a mgr I give what is earned.

"If you are laid off you will receive your bonus for this year. People who are laid off get the percentage of the yearly bonus they have earned through the last day of their notice period."

To the person that posted this, that is not always true - in my area I saw a clear pattern of downgrading performance reviews just before we got laid off and surprise, surprise - No bonus $ at all. If you are lucky enough to get that piece of bonus, god bless you, but that wasn't my experience or that of others I know.

Please read the bonus plan, you are only “eligible” for a bonus if displaced.

Thanks all. Will try to hold off for layoff and/or bonus instead of quitting. Day to day analysis at this point.

Same is happening to our team. Manager is looking for excuses to put people down. One colleague has been put under a manager in India to humiliate and make him leave.

If you are laid off you will receive your bonus for this year. People who are laid off get the percentage of the yearly bonus they have earned through the last day of their notice period.

If it ends in June, you get half. September, 3/4, etc. We are in November. You are good for this year.
But ONLY if you are laid off. Do not quit. You will walk away from it then.

Hang on for a layoff. You will get unemployment too.
