Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Gotta love it....

I really do love how often us technicians have to train these new engineers on how to analyze and understand their data, how things work at EM, and even simple tasks like how to convert a text file to Excel.

And they're going to trash all the technicians in Clinton as soon as they can/at site closing?
I say good luck to those engineers moving to Texas. There will be no one who knows how to run anything, and seems like some of your new "peers" will be just as clueless.

@1trd+1uUsE8ds They site would be fine with our without knowledge. Exxon is more than happy to drop people who knows anything for a cheaper body. Not much of it is rocket science. It is either third party or it is a simple equipment. Remember that they usually have new contractors take over equipment back in the day and within 3 months they should be able to run it

I'm not mad, actually. Current situation is annoying. However, mostly feel bad for the people that will have to deal with this situation once Clinton moves to Houston/Baytown without anyone who actually knows how to run things
But oh well, EM decided to to trash all of its analysts and operators, not even offering any of them a chance to go to Houston.
I repeat, good luck!
