I’m sure numbers in a short time will prove this. Yes, some of the jobs can and will be replaced by AI, which is btw over-hyped and still just a rudimentary tool, but the vast majority of jobs are just being offshored under the excuse of the AI. We can get jumped by a major AI breakthrough in the future which would result in AI with capabilities that would lead to a large chunk of jobs being erased, but that’s definitely not what’s going on now. Now is only a good old thinly disguised greed.

Its competitive advantage. Just wait in 3 to 6 months. JPM will come out and explain the success it has had with the 60K plus generative AI project (which it installed for 1/4 of its employees last month). What will Wells have? Will AI be like inflation -- the rich get richer, poor poorer?
Everything the execs say is just an excuse for downsizing, it's not just AI.
I don't think any of the offshoring has to do with AI at all. They just think they can get the some output for cheaper.
We are definitely All In on AI - All Indian…
WSJ has a great piece on how overhyped AI actually is.
