Now I regret that I waited for a while to be laid off instead of leaving on my own. It’s great that I got the severance and all, but I wish I left earlier. I completely lost perspective while in T. I allowed myself to stagnate and be majorly affected by the toxicity, absence of options, and pointlessness of any effort put into work. I felt like a fog lifted when I finally left. I was lucky to be offered another job just as I was about to be laid off. I’m so happy that I finally changed jobs, even if new work doesn’t prove to be all that great in the long run. Sometimes just a change of scenery can do miracles.

Welcome to the after club! I asked to get out early, got my severance and found another job within weeks. Culture change is incredible.
While at AT&T, I was chronically stressed out for how little work I did due to the waves of layoffs. I took control of the situation and I’ve been better off for it. I’m learning loads in my new job and will be in a better position if I ever need to leave.
Good for you! I left without severance and retired because I couldn’t take it anymore. The way this company treats people who work so hard is just disgusting
Severance and unemployment. Enjoy your time off to rejuvenate.
Congratulations!
Note: negative comments about it being good that you are being separated, are posted by people that need good people to go, so that their mediocrity value will rise. The comment they post thinks its degrading, but it shows their cards. Bottom feeders will of course love your demise.
"This was also good for the company."
glad the hear the company enjoys paying severance
This was also good for the company.
Welcome to Wal-Mart! Some posted the pay and benefits were better.
AMEN!
Congratulations!
Best of luck to you, hopefully your new job will recharge you by being away from the toxic environment T is.
No John. We’re not quitting without severance. Nice try though.
Maybe if you give the severance money back to T you will feel better about life.
You’ve got severance though. Onto bigger and better things now.
