My boss just told me to let him know when I need to work from home on occasion (as we are required to be in office 5 days per week) so that he can enter it into "the portal". I didn't even want to ask what that means exactly. I just assume I must have landed on a RTO report for non-compliance and the boss had to say something to me, however vague.

How often does the report on office attendance come out to supervisors?
They updated the presence report and if there is a reason you are not in office your boss has to submit the reason in the portal (presence report). Since you do not have access to see your own entries you cannot do it (insert eyerolll)
It's basically putting pressure on your manager. They are now accountable for whether you are there or not. No more pleading ignorance, that act wore thin quick with Dallas.
It is a new tool they are introducing in the Townes organization - maybe some others as well. The bottom line is - you cannot account for yourself, you have to tell your manager if you are not in for any reason for any of the 5 days in a week.
Yeah MOOSE is what the HR lawyers use
If you need to WFH fiea reason boss says is OK then put it I'm moose so they know when they have a to balance out days.
He’s talking about MOOSE.
it lets you talk to people in dublin although I hear that people flick each other off on it
The "Portal" is somewhere you don't want to go. You enter as Danny but come out as Danielle.
