I got a layoff notice today. Anybody else received the call with the news too?

Received severance pay so good bye and GTLA!

"Yes, ACS got hit a lot; sorry to see the included ATT Lab people in San Ramon"

Are there any Lab people left?
Seems there is even less hope now for AT&T to recover from the mess JS created.

“Leadership” in this company are all a bunch of unfeeling hypocrites. Live wherever the eff they want and make the minions move across country at their own expense in a sht economy or lose their job in a sht job market.

Will all RAN optimization teams be under Ericsson in the reorganization?

A friend of mine complied with 3 days per week. Got in a car accident severing his legs. They laid him off today and he didn’t even know. He was still under sedation from his 6th surgery

If he was commuting to an office he did not need to be in, he needs to sue the company. Should be an easy 7-8 figure verdict and we desperately need the precedent on the books.

“Should have just lied about moving and ran the extra time while finding a job that will pay you to move if you want to move. That’s what a lot of us did, then just quit.
Fu-k Stankey and T.”

Lie about moving? Why? Deplete your sick days, vacation days, caregiver days and don’t do anything until your last day. Then take the severance and unemployment.

This is the uncaring, ruthless behavior they taught us.

ACS = AT&T Connected Solutions used to be IoT. Under VP COURSEY, CAMERON who oddly was exempt from having to move. Who would have guessed... All this collaboration talk he says why he will remain remote.

I am praying every day to receive my layoff notice, but unfortunately, craft isn't part of the head count reductions at this time at least where I work.

“a lot of us at ATT Lab San Ramon are slated for Bothell, it's a good thing we didn't agree to move as they already started to surplus the good people at Bothell....very disappointed at ATT”

Haven’t a lot of us on here and elsewhere (Blind) warned all of you to not move because they’re likely to lay you all off anyways?

“I am on the west coast, in Bothell and got surplused today. Got the sad news today. Always complied to 3 days RTO etc . I thought i added value, .... not sure how company perceives it.”

RTO just like Relocation is them hoping that you leave the company, not a system for reward much less efficiency or innovation

Exactly, they literally don’t care.
I don’t know why anyone complies with this bs.

“At least make you work the strike first. Then lay off.”
Does the phrase “pound sand” seem appropriate? Gonna lay me off then send me to climb poles after watching a video? Nope

Only good layoff is a union slug layoff.

“This is why I never complied with RTO, 3 days MAYBE but coffee badge, mostly 2 days a week sometimes less.

Got an extension. It’s all a joke, don’t comply tell them to fu-k off. They’re going to fire you anyways.”

I feel like the guy from office space who tells management to their face I don’t give a fu-k and gets a promotion.

Connected solutions announcement was a joke. People who moved last year now being told to move again. All the while those in charge live outside of stated hubs. Lawyers need to be called.

The process is to have a call first. Then during the call or at end of call release the letter. Everyone has until 12pm Dallas time to notify their employees. Both surplus and RTO wave 2 are part of today's notifications.

Global being hit today. I heard they are also hitting 3rd and 4th level managers, but I don't have any confirmation on that. All to get them off payroll by December.
