Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Biggest Losers in this Strike IHX and Fiber

Techs aren’t getting paid because of a conscious choice they are making… The company should suffer in this because they won’t pay the techs…. What the F did IHX and Fiber do to deserve to be caught up in this and this make no money…. This is ridiculous. No quota relief and leadership acting like everything is BAU… Thousands of dollars per seller lost from something we have NOTHING to do with. What a joke.

Don't worry, Starlink will ki-l ATT if fiber competition does not.

The hits keep coming as new start ups are getting into the fiber business. Laying fiber all over the South east preparing to poach cable and existing At&t customers. It is going to be difficult to compete in the new reality when customers will have yet another option. The new companies will have a leaner work force, no antiquated systems like those we inherited from AT&T’and will probably have a splashy attention grabbing marketing campaign aimed at someone ready to try out something shiny and new.

We just got told today that our ihes can't do flyer drops to businesses or houses. But then they send us these lists anyways and tell us to work them. No phone numbers on them, only addresses. Called some other ads under different directors and they were all told the same. Been here for 12 years and this is the biggest sh-t show I've ever witnessed!

Can't wait to see how many of our people get termed for rapid account access and cobc violations! They've already forced us to put any reps on action plans, so this will just be an easy way to get rid of whoever they want.

If you're an ad, or even a rsm, and wondering why your recent openings aren't being backfilled, here's your answer. This is a big sign for me that it's time to jump ship. It's only getting worse from here on out.

IHX should not exist. Get out of the customer's face and let them come to us because we offer a superior product - that is how you run a company. Not sending high pressure people into people's homes to scam them into add-on sales.

Seems like that is the story of my life at T lately. Always issues with bargaining during contract proposals and renewals. Timing stinks, but whatcha gonna do?

Biggest loser in this strike is the CEO.
His lack of leadership on display once again.
C’mon big talker, if you want to pretend you are Elon Musk you need to garner respect. You have to get in the trenches and get your hands dirty like Elon.
Maybe stop playing so much golf as the union goes on strike.
Maybe show your customers and employees on contingency assignments that you’re rolling up your sleeves and working the issues. Elon even slept in the office and was on the manufacturing line understanding the problems. The only line I see you on is the lunch line in Dallas, stuffing your head with food. What a $hit show T is.
p.s. Im reporting to my strike assignment and then calling in sick, Whu u gonna do bout it punky?

Dallas will still be enacting quartiles and performance plans. I can hear them now “You can control submits.” Sure we can and give customers a non-existent installation date on APBA, Shared, and Dedicated?!?! Meanwhile we have to be the ones to update customers every couple days and essentially become hostage negotiators trying to keep them from cancelling their outstanding orders. We have existing customers cancelling due to lack of support/repairs. You think we are getting anything for the charge backs caused by this strike absolutely not.
