I received my call last year that I was being layed off. I was 4 months shy of being vested. So i lost my company match! They also would not pay me my bonus. Toxic company, nothing written down, no guidance and poorly run!

I was in denial about BNY constant layoff strategy. Never thought it would happen to me. Worked for them for 4 years, one team transfer. Had plenty of work to do and was praised by my manager for doing well and seeing my potential growth. Monday morning with no warning at all, laid off. Worst feeling EVER. This company has ZERO respect for you as a person or employee. They will drop you at any hint of a share price decrease. There will be a skeleton crew left at the Pittsburgh office while every meaniful position is shipped offshore. If you do work for BNY, collect the check and continue to look for something better. Staying longer than 2 years probably means tour time is coming.

Why not move for a sweet inflation busting raise? It’s been a hot job market for three years.

They know this from reading here and treat our increased frustration as a successful metric. Saves severance costs.

This company is a joke. Most employers who offshore work are. It’s proven to be laughable. For every 10 cobra wranglers you hire you have to hire clean up crew to fix their mistakes. Every single employer does this and they know it.

Only growth centers are getting free coffee. How much do the unlimited Frappuccinos at 240G cost the company when people can go get one every hour if they want?

Why would anyone here think they are more than just a number? The company doesn’t care about you… no company does. They will drop you in a second. The sooner you realize you are just a number, the easier it is to accept.

So many older employees are being replaced by young, cheap labor offshore. This company is vile. These were dedicated, loyal employees now in their late 50's-early 60's Who will hire them at that age? Age discrimination is very real. And they will be forced into social security early for the lowest possible wages.

The CEO- Robin Vince - was on CNBC talking about the company's strong culture & its long history of strengthening the community. Seriously? If he gave a sh* about strengthening the community, he wouldn't be offshoring staff left and right. It's not like any of us were making top $$ compared to other places.

And here's the kicker: On his CNBC interview, he brags that employees get free coffee!! What a total a-hole. I urge everyone to email the CEO and Shannon Hobbs and let them know how inhumane and sick their rampant layoffs are and how they destroy older workers lives. Stop w/ the BS about a great work culture
