I used to be 8 deep in the org chart. Then we got moved under SP/DO and i am 10 deep. So much for flattening the org.

It makes more sense when you understand that SPs job at WF is to downsize as many people as possible. If you work anywhere in his org there is an effort to eliminate your role, by means of outsourcing, contracting, automation, or eliminating the role/business entirely. This is why we have organizational decisions that seem odd. It's temporary and they won't be odd for long.

SP skirting around having to do anything by having DO installed
You have major LOB customer service teams that are buried organizationally due to this model. Like how does it make sense to have a whole business group called consumer banking with our branches and then separate out the actual bankers serving the same customers for the same needs, just via a different channel, report into SP amd DO. Makes zero sense. They should be under consumer banking reporting to Svb

DO is a nice guy but really just a layer or two that SP should be managing.

“efficiency “ which actually ends up causing less efficiency due to disconnecting these teams from their actual LOBs. Classic wf move. Wil move them back in a year or 2.
