Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Ka-Ching!Wells Fargo is a boon for therapists

My therapist candidly revealed she has a lot of patients who are Wells Fargo employees. Although they work in different areas of the bank, they all have the same issues from the toxic environment.

I cannot speak for others but I'm in therapy because of WF toxicity and a career that imploded. I made a career here, high preformer, not one speck of negativity in my HR file. Newer management in my group is unprofessional, threatening and retaliatory and part of Charlie's network that were hired after he came to WF. I have a chronic illness that would bankrupt my family without decent insurance and live in a non hub location in a small market with very little professional options. The days of giving 110+% are over.

My therapist said the same thing. They receive a steady stream of traumatized and anxious clients who work at WF.

I was told by an addictions counselor that Wells Fargo employees are frequent clients in the Des Moines, Iowa area. The counselor said other issues could often be present but the toxic culture she heard from these clients was a consistent denominator. The counselor even said they advised their children to never, ever work for Wells Fargo due to the severe issues they have encountered counseling WF employees. Also, a lady died at her desk in a WF location this last week and rotted at her desk for several days.

@1oel It's up to the board to "cut the cancer out and move on." Charlie and his crew of lackeys are the unrestrained growth destroying the work environment.

"@1vos+1udDpmX0" is right.
Yup.
I really scares me that the first thing people do is run to therapy when they face common life challenges. This is cr-p that will happen in your next job, or your next (fill in the blank), etc.
And before you internet sympathy enablers downvote these comments, think about it.
Learn how to assess your life's priorities and what is important to you, cut the cancer out and move on. that's how it works.

Had the same reaction from my therapist when I first started with them early last year.

Get out if you are so miserable. Seriously, if you are in therapy about your job, time to think about life goals. If you need to downsize and simplify life to gain sanity, then do it. A corporation who breeds anxiety shouldn't keep one from selling the house, simplifying and getting a mediocre job that breeds purpose.

I support you OP. I’m also in therapy due to WF’s toxicity.

Ge-z people. Therapist isn't naming names! Give them a break. A generalization isn't a breach of confidentiality!

Therapist will say things which patient want to hear. doesn't mean they are telling truth. They are smarter... no wonder they are making more money

Sure they did. Anyone who goes to a therapist who divulges other patients' information should be sued for breach of confidentiality.
