Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

How well did the company prepare?

From my perspective the company was caught completely off guard. Things in the Southeast have grinded to a halt.

They had a meeting to show a power point, to schedule the next meeting. Repeat and rinse, analysis paralysis! 🤓

The corporation is prepared to prepare accordingly to preparations that require performance planning. We have a history of progressive planning in relation to the scale of profitable performance. Thank you for your input.

The company is positioned quite well right now to shift all telco work to contractors the longer this strike goes. The union is going to give up more than it originally planned because they miscalculated how much ability the company has to contract out this work. Every utility provider now has contractors doing all phase of work except AT&T. This contract is going to change that. I feel sorry for all the people that think otherwise.

Funny how whoever mods this thing is removing a certain side of some arguments here.

That's some woke socialism, yo.

"Name some "socialist mentalities" an American fortune 500 company displays."

DEI to start.

“Have you seen the stats on this companies executive leadership team? Companies ran by 70+% white males gen X or older how’s that going for us buddy?”
Mr. Reading comprehension: go back and read my post. I specifically spoke to those running the CP “organization”. I agree the company is run by older white guys and they are running the company into the ground, but that is not what mypost was about. Deflecting much?

With the current state of so many things, I get the uneasy feeling it's intentional. Crashing by design. Failure isn't a option, it's the plan?

The rebel dissidents and defectors who oppose the Empire and its authoritarian rule shall be disseminated by Imp~error Stanky and his imperial 3rd party shock troops.

“It appears the same people who set up the CP process/decisions and are running that group are in the same vein as those running the country right. They don’t know their @$$ from a whole in the ground.”

ATT leadership is of very strong socialist mentalities. My chain wants to end development and shift everything to vendors. Strong philosophy in shipping all work to contractors. Strong endorsement for our current VP. It makes no sense that they put at risk the funds that allow them to completely resod their 3 acre lawns every year and fund vacation trips to Europe. Unions were once thought to be the friend of democrats but something changed in the thinking. Everything is upside down. The establishment is consuming itself reducing profit margins with horrible spending decisons. I don’t get it. Nothing is strategic but there’s no one around to say it isn’t except the ones being muffled and laid off.

People seem to think that CP training outcomes will be like those YouTube videos.

“When you undoubtedly have a bunch of millennials and DEI hires running this CP project what do you expect? There is no common sense among these people. For example, people can just get their training online, who needs real training? What could go wrong? We are seeing the consequences of these actions”

Go away and quit playing victim because you can’t get promoted.
