And now showing "Badged at Assigned Location" vs. other locations. It is not something my organization is currently concerned with, but my thought is that they wouldn't have changed it for nothing-- and I am guessing the VP's are going to start getting hammered on discrepancies between badged location swipes vs. "other".

If rto really mattered the contractors would be required to be in 5 days a week.
Until that happens rto is a strategy to get employees to quit
The hub strategy is also wrapped into rto, but is yet another initiative to get people to quit relieving the company of their severance obligation
"If we have to be in 3 days, then EVERYONE should be made to do the same.
No more exceptions."
Awwwwww.
This metric will be used for bonus allocations next year.

“ Why do they care so much”
John Stankey thinks the shareholders care. They don’t. John is senile
“I applaud the twits not going to the office. You are low hanging fruit and are buying time for the rest of us. We only have to run faster than the slowest person running from the bear. Keep it up. Please.”
Not really, cause you’re probably in HR or marketing or some other d-mb field that anyone with an associates degree can do, you folk will def be cut before they cut people with actual skills RTO or not.

If it doesn’t effect job operations, success, profit, or team/organization success - then I ask again, why do they care so much?
“Why does a company care that their employees follow the most basic requests like where to report to for work? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️”
If it’s such a simple request why is no one following it?

“They did this because people are going to their destination for a day, then going back to their city of choice the remaining two days. Driving, flying, whatever. The noose is tightening for the trick players”

“ They did this because people figured out you could just badge in at the nearest CO with a card swipe and it counted for the report, regardless of where your designated office was.”
Good grief you can’t just badge in at a CO. It’s take an act of god to get access approval to an actual central office.
This is why they gave us new occupancy indicators. If yours starts with a N, then you need to be in your location. If it’s starts with a M for market, then there is some leeway because market employees have a business reason to be elsewhere at times. They updated these for a reason.

“ They can tell the offices are empty and occupancy shows full. It’s obvious to the VP when he walks thru the building. They’ve known for months and you’re gonna lose severance.”
We’re running out of VPs at my location so that’s not a big issue. However you can shoot a cannon through the building by 4 or 4:30. I think some people do come in early to beat traffic but that doesn’t help with the ‘collaboration’
When your leader is known more for his failures than his accomplishments, you might be fu---d.
It’s 5pm and no one is in the office except for me, how’s that working out for upper management at the moment?
Does it seem like the employees believe in their initiative and want to back it?
Does it seem like anyone really believes this is increasing productivity?
Or are people just finding ways to comply with the policy and not the spirit of the policy?
If so, why do you think this is exactly?
Maybe because no one believes anything Stankey says and doesn’t buy into his vision?
If that’s the case, why does leadership think that’s happening?
Maybe because he’s a bozo in a tailored clown-suit?
“Webphone = Assigned Location
If you are going somewhere else and don’t have written approval you risk immediate termination”
Rofl, immediate termination for going to the office but not the ‘right’ one.
“You went to the Bedminster building instead of Middletown? IMMEDIATE TERMINATION!”
That’s comical.
Fu-k off HR scrublord, go play with model trains, watch birds, or whatever you boomers do.

“They can tell the offices are empty and occupancy shows full. It’s obvious to the VP when he walks thru the building. They’ve known for months and you’re gonna lose severance.”
Then maybe the VP’s should just fu-k off and let us do our jobs?
“ What is ‘coffee badg’?
It’s the only logical response to all this nonsense.
What is ‘coffee badg’?
They can tell the offices are empty and occupancy shows full. It’s obvious to the VP when he walks thru the building. They’ve known for months and you’re gonna lose severance.
" What are they using to determine assigned locations."
Everyone has one assigned location.
The are using your one assigned location.
" Guess I’ll just have to ask my boss for permission to coffee badge in Plano so he can mark it on the report."
That won't show on report. You have one assigned location. You can bet this field is now there because some orgs were concerned about people not badging in at their official, assigned location.
In my group at least, the VP reviews the report weekly with the L3s. The L3s speak to any concerns about the report.
I guarantee you the delta between "badged at assigned location" v. other location is going to become a talking point in those meetings. And you know what's going to happen after that. Your L3 is going to go from not caring about "where" you badge to being a stickler on it very quickly.
"What are they using to deterimine assigned locations. My team has folks in different locations in the same city? Iwork all 3 locations as needed. So, is the assigned location the buildings I have access to, or what shows up in Webphone?"
post your teams meeting link. I can talk for a few minutes

sweet! no more funny business! crack them whips Robert!
So no more coffee badging at Plano.
Now I have to coffee badge in Dallas.
Darn.
Guess I’ll just have to ask my boss for permission to coffee badge in Plano so he can mark it on the report.
