Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

CWA Failure

No phone call before town hall call. Number was texted, not allowed to get on call, overwhelming response.
I don't have high hopes if the phone call for your members just shows incompetence

Did you really ever think the CWA could manage a conference call?? Was able to dial in on one as a field manager during that super short work stoppage back in 2019. One of those cheesy state oriented calls. It was comical to say the least. No agenda. No oversight. No objectives. No notes. Just a bunch of children on a cryfry hotline. Basically what you’d expect from a bunch of uneducated blue collar tools. Nothing professional about it.

I'm just sitting here shocked you all can't figure out how to manage a conference call. (That is sarcasm).

My opinion only. In a nut shell, T playing games, frustrating CWA by sending children to an adult table and playing kick the can. Maybe made some Headway on WT issues, some of them. Addressed some general things, overtime and time off. Never got to the heart of wage, health benefits, pension, or retirement changes if any. I am thinking T has stalled and they haven't even discussed everything. I felt like it was wasted time, not because CWA, because they didn't have much to report due to T playing games.

So…what happened on the call?

Will stay on strike till company caves, strike potentially could be months at a minimum till end of year.

Dang Dude, phone lessons are not available but maybe your neighbors 5 year old can show you.

Another powerless man at home so he is a$$ to everyone else. No phone call, text message giving different number, calling in 7 times with auto message unable to connect, line full. Finally call from different number got on call. Go wash your pa-ties you got a line to support tomorrow

Man pa--i€s comment - - Loosen your b-a strap & get back on the picket line. We’ll ask for paid cell phone training also.

I was able to get on about 6:15,
Man pa-ties - no picket line for me at 7PM, I walk my line. We are all here to get information, share a few complaints, maybe a laugh, you sound like my miserable manager. Are you a Manager, or you just one of those coworkers that like to try and make everyone miserable because you are?

Well, if your company had the ability to handle the traffic you might have been able to listen in but then managerial skills have always been lacking in some. Just sayin.

You still have health care. They’re fighting through the night to get you the best contract possible. Loosen your b-a strap & get back on the picket line. We’ll ask for paid cell phone training also.

So what did you text? I noticed there were two different "code words" listed in the other thread, but only one of them was the same as what was listed on the CWA site.

Maybe they should have asked for some management assistance.

I was called at 557 central time, got a recorded message, then was on hold until 6pm. Then it picked up.
