Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Pats Legacy

He ruined Intel. He absolutely destroyed the very company he claimed to love, but his real legacy is the lives he shattered. Just look at some of your coworkers, peers, and friends—some may never recover and could spiral into addiction. Then there are the children caught in the fallout. Young girls who were once on the path to becoming doctors now have parents out of work because of Pat's so-called "Christian principles" (what a joke), which led the company to ruin. These kids, once full of promise, may end up struggling to survive, even turning dr-gs and to work the streets. This is Pat G’s true legacy. Don’t let him forget it.

What if this is revenge and Pat is pi---d about when the board canceled Larrabee and kicked him out of Intel the first time? Either way - he has always been a creepy fuer and never should have been CEO - not the right temperament and shty business acumen.

Why would you build out factories before you know demand is there?? or ever will? What happrn to the whale of customer? Ha! Did Microsoft go with Qualcomm instead? Such archaic id--tcy thinking has good employees pay with their jobs. Employee children faced with even greater college cost burdens.

Intel lost long time ago. From Craig Barrett and Paul Otellini, they were clueless. Moore's law? No more. The Intel culture both in design and manufacturing was one of bravado and not listening to contrarian views. PG is no magician nor did he have much to offer. But the board and Pat lovers fell for it. How Intel treated their employees over the years and I'm sorry they are catching up to how they ruined others and themselves in the process. Intel is irrelevant.

@gxq

He is a charlatan. He uses his religion as a cover and really that is more deceitful and evil.

Some people are such Pat lovers. He has never been authentic to me. Has always given me the creeps. I hope he gets fired so fast. If I'm gonna lose my job I want him to go too!

Ok but let’s see if you change your tune if you get affected and you can’t find work for two years because other companies don’t like hiring former Intel personnel . I bet you will be singing a very different tune. But just remember to tell yourself it’s just business! People have family and lives so you can say it’s just business but if you get impacted it affected those who depend on you as well - then it’s personal.

So cut out the tough guy talk. People who get cut can take it personal but it will affected them personally.

Pat G is best thing to happen to Intel.

Pat inherited in a bad state, but then gambled everything that was left on foundry business, lost badly, and refused to admit it before it was too late. In 2021 this strategy was very risky but reasonable, but around mid 2023 it was time to cut losses when chip market went to oversupply and core businesses that supplied cash to fund it faced weakened demand.

No company owes you any more then your paycheck and agreed upon benefits, that’s it.
Old saying; nothing personal, it’s just business. Never, ever get emotionally attached to a company, they don’t care about you, period. If you get cut, su-k it up and move on to the next chapter of your life. Empires come and go, it’s just Intel’s time and another empire will rise from its ashes.

Yes and so have all of the startups and tech companies that laid people off. The layoffs are a blessing in disguise for most people as they eventually find better jobs at more successful companies.

Melodramatic maybe? Until it’s you. There will be some who lose everything from this and never bounce back. Good luck and god bless you all

If it wasn't for the more unfortunate in society, Karen's wouldn't have anything to do.

Totally agree with the other comment. The melodrama is over the top. Besides: it was BK that tanked Intel a long time ago - zero vision and kowtowing to the shareholders while lining his own pockets. May he rot in he-l.

Quite the slippery slope there....

Stop being so melodramatic.

People will land on their feet.
