In all seriousness - my org has heard more rumors of layoffs recently. Anyone hear anything? Freaks me out, Father of three and not sure what I would do. I will concede that the culture is totally toxic in my group and everyone is miserable (grades 5-7, most client facing) but not sure what I’d do if let go. Hope everyone is managing alright.

I don’t think anyone is happy at the firm now, I’ve never seen pulse survey scores this low in the time I’ve been at the firm.
If you are customer facing you are almost guaranteed to be fine. If not I would worry a little.
I think all the groups are really toxic now. Fidelity does layoffs all the time, but usually in smaller numbers than this year. That’s why it doesn’t make the news.

Yes, during September, roles are going to be eliminated. I don’t know how many and I do not think it’s going to happen in one day like back in March. It will not be discussed or communicated as layoffs.
