New Occupancy Indicators

Lots of folks got an email today stating they have new occupancy indicators in Workphone. Many more getting virtual or national indicators where they don’t have to be in the office at all or at least not 3x a week. Let’s hope it’s the beginning of the end of RTO.

I got FOW and they’re saying I don’t have to go into the office anymore.
Will I have to move? Maybe.
Will I get to collect a check with no pointless commute in the meantime? Yes.

Part of my org was told only 2x a week and others were told to begin working virtually and check in office 1x a month.

Not sure how they decided or what other orgs also got the same notice. I feel lucky to have the belt slightly looser.

"The reason that some org got 2x a week was because their VP fought for it. Their VP didnt want to RTO to Dallas nor RTO 3x a week to an office location."

I can't reveal it here, it is too obvious. You will find it soon enough. Just know that some people are told to start coming in 2x a week now starting 9/1 and some not required an office presence. People talk.

Mine changed to NFTO. No change in 3x per week. Prior to covid, I was FTW as was the rest of the team. We are all scattered across the country, so I drive to an office and sit on teams calls all day. Pointless as ever.

Occupancy indicator updates are merely to facilitate additional groupings and filtering of employees based on hierarchical reporting structure and other data elements readily available in Webphone.
The sharpening of the corporate sword must continue so thine blade remains wet, and glistens of misery from thine fallen RTO brethren.

“I RTO everyday on my CP assignment, tired and ready for this contract to get settled. Give them a fair contract, HR. I have work piling up on the job I was hired to do.”

You RTO’d very day for 2 weeks? Oh my goodness you’re so tough. Imagine how hard it is to do a real man’s job for 2 whole weeks. You must be tired from pretending so long. Unbelievable wow.

This is unfair. Some became wfh. How did it happen? This is another example why I hate T. No transparency in making decisions. People are mad.

Which orgs got this?

"How does national mean non-RTO?"

It doesn't. I am on a National team. Our team is spread all over the country. Our indicators changed 2 weeks ago. No change with the RTO requirements, either for the people that have to go in 3 x per week (NFTO) or those that are still "NVW", still have to go in once a month. So, no changes other than the indicators.

Which orgs specifically got switched to virtual?

I saw some of the emails today. Instead of ‘National’ I think OP should have said ‘Market Based’. Those MB occupancy indicators did say ‘employees mostly in the field who come into the office minimally’.

RTO or GTFO.
Choose wisely, only the chosen will ascend to the great central offices in the sky.

I would legitimately cry tears of joy if RTO ended. I don’t think it will end, but I would start crying from happiness right then and there. Lol
