I'm breaking all ties with Cisco lol. Like getting rid of my exes photos
I've sold all my RSUs and ESPP and I'm ready to go
Ehm, you just need to return your laptop and badge but not your vested shares.
Who cares at this point. What's gonna happen is gonna happen in 10 days. I've sold all my RSUs and ESPP and I'm ready to go
If you're group is impacted, your manager was asked to provide a list the day after announcement. In my team, one name was requested by my manager and I volunteered. Names on the list have to be vetted by legal and HR so final list has still not been released to managers. I still don't know if they've accepted me to take hit but heard it will be this week because if they don't accept me, my manager has to give another name. Fyi I'm close to retirement and have 18 years in, so want the payout.
The way it works is a VP gets a number he needs to cut. He divides that number amongst his directors, who divides that number amongst his managers, who decide the people they will let go. The managers are told to prepare a list but don’t usually get the number they must cut until the last minute. They keep managers in the dark so they won’t tell their teams what’s happening.
In past layoffs my manager would have been hearing rumblings by now; no rumbling as of now so I’m cautiously optimistic
I can tell from my situation, your manager and above all know if you’re on the list
Managers will be officially get notification next week. But the managers/Sr.managers are the one who submitted the names (list). So they can guess or some even know who they are.
Front line managers know by Sept 9, then slaves notified at Sept 16
Managers might not have the list, but they sure did elect candidates from their reports to be on the list.
No, VPs are rumored to already have the final list.
Stay Calm ! PLS
