Feels like the board/Hans are running out of ideas: with a $20B budget, the best M&A target was a company that owns a bunch of assets that VZ got rid of years ago… moving chairs on the titanic
I think VZ did this for the joy of dumping John Stratton again.
Stratton become Exec Chair when FTR was in bankruptcy. Would be a hoot if became Exec Chair of VZ when the sale is done.
