I put Indians on my list.
"but north and south east Europe are also on the target now - lots of new hires in that area."
- You mean north and east Europe is on target of layoff or grow? Because in Europe the hiring has been halted for almost a year now. US/EMEA are definitely looking at hard times and are under pressure while APJC i think is the safest theatre now
Indians are safe…they cost half as much because they don’t have the same governmental controls that drive up cost nor do they expect the same standard of living, due to their culture. Quality su-ks though - another benefit of “multiculturalism”
It’s 5,900 and not 6,500
For sure India will be safe , but north and south east Europe are also on the target now - lots of new hires in that area. North for networking software and south for asic due to proximity to Israel in both mindset and distance. The loser is going to be USA. Govt is sleeping on this - what’s the use of a chips act if the jobs are not here ?
Bay area , san jose site jobs will be nuked out of oblivion this scenario is very specific to Cisco who will move jobs at a very rapid pace to cheaper countries like India where they have a fu--ing large base. There are a ton of other companies typically smaller ones like startups not very much exposed to countries like India where our best bet is to build our career.
all companies are doing layoffs in the USA and expanding at India because of cheap tech labor... 1$=80+Rs once dollars lose value and the rupee becomes strong. if 1$ like 60 Rs or below most of the tech jobs will come back to the USA as it will be cheaper for companies overall ....
Will relocation packages be provided? :P
India is expanding. Europe holds a big chunk of employees. AFAIK over 5k are located throughout Europe so ig the impact is staring at EMEA/US right now.
West european folks too.
Not true, Chinese employee has big risk.
