“ Contract labor, contract management.
Craft pay drops, they won't keep paying the connected managers and planners the current salaries.”

Are you sure? I got promoted from L1-2 to manage vendors?

Why? Twice the production at half the cost. Bring it on!

T really doesn’t care what’s going with the strike, they know they will have to agree to a new contract. What we also know is that the union will be forced to concede fair pay raises, reasonable medical deductibles and job security.

We are having people crossing our lines everyday, it’s the CP managers, running to and fro. Trying to figure out troubles in hours or days that would take a technician minutes. It’s unbelievable the amount of tickets that aren’t getting dispatched on or completed. Installs a provisioning is not getting done but I’ve heard they may be training some of the work from home and coffee swipers groups. Stay safe out there.

“FYI. I work at the corporate HC and no one is talking about this strike. 2 of my 200 employees have been deployed. It's like it isn't even happening.”

Just wait till one has a serious accident or worse. There will be plenty of talk then, the CP workers are flat worn out which makes it a ripe environment for something bad to happen. No one wants to see it but Stankey and HR are driving this bus 🚌

1st level managers will be required to do the same amount of work as their team members. It’s an empowered work team model we’re going to.

“ The way things are looking for management, get used to asking customers if they want fries with that”

In my group, it’s managers who direct contractors. We plan and hand out work, inspect it, track progress, and pay the bills. After that, we go out and order fries.

That said, I LOVE dealing with contractors. The vendor takes care of the productivity, HR, and disciplinary cr-p. I just tell ‘‘em where to go and pay them when they finish. I hear Sign Mart has good prices on magnetic signs. Want the number?

“ The strike continues because you left. You aren't very good at this.”

That’s funny, no matter who you are!

The union is providing lunch at our picket location tomorrow.

Different pizza slecfions with sides and dessert provided by Mrs. Mary who lives nearby, have cookies, frosted cake slices and individual pies.

Our local CP managers say, no mas! They are ready for us to return. We reply, we will return when good faith bargaining happens and there is a path towards a TA. In Unity!

Start getting used to the idea of slapping on a vinyl sticker on your pickup truck for future employment.

Those seem like contradictory statements. The strike continues because you left. You aren't very good at this.

Yep, Verizon is doing quite well, unlike the flop at T. Shaping up to be a public nightmare without ESPN and Disney. Metronet? A private company offering internet only. Couldn't find a better example? No wonder T is a dumpster fire. Get back to the grind slacker.

So how many of you are on strike anyway?
a. not enough to care
b. not enough to have any real impact
c. not enough to provide contract leverage
d. all of the above

It is clear that verizon, metronet, comcast and others have been reaping the cost benefit of using contract workers. Start getting used to the idea of slapping on a vinyl sticker on your pickup truck for future employment.
